Jenn’s walks the talk. Watch as she breaks down the truth behind the Micro-Community proposed for District 1.

At the District 1 community meeting, I asked Councilmember Lisa Kaplan the questions our community has been waiting two years to have answered:

• Why did she wait until now to raise “legal issues” about the 2023 resolution that explicitly authorized tiny homes?

• Why did she admit in April she had a “strip of land in mind” near Arena & El Centro, but never tell the community until months later?

• Why has city-owned land, promised for community amenities, been sold off for high-density residential without our input?

• And why is $2.6 million going to ShotSpotter — a program with questionable results — while North Natomas is still missing the basic amenities we were promised?

In her response, Kaplan accused others of “distorting the facts.” But the record is clear — and her own words reveal the contradictions.
